As part of Stories of Us, we’re running a laid-back creative workshop all about coming together and making something meaningful.

You’ll paint a terracotta plant pot to take home and plant up — a little keepsake from the day — and you’ll also work in pairs to decorate larger pots for the Memo, helping to brighten up a shared community space. And we’ll plant them up together too

A chance to meet others, share stories, get creative, and leave with something you’ve made. No experience needed — just come along and enjoy

Stories of Us: Dreamcatcher Making12.00pm – 4pm Drop in whenever you’re ready (Ballroom)

Join us for a relaxed, creative session as part of Stories of Us, where we’ll be dreaming of a more connected, cohesive community.

You’ll make your own dreamcatcher to take home, and you’ll also be invited to write or draw a dream for our community and attach it to a larger shared dreamcatcher that will be part of the day.

A gentle, thoughtful space to create, share hopes, and be part of something bigger together. No experience needed — just bring your imagination

🎨 Stories of Us: NONafArt Visual Arts Workshop 🎨 12.00pm – 4.00pm pop by and take part (Ballroom)

As part of Stories of Us, we’re teaming up with our partner organisation NONafArt for a visual arts workshop exploring ideas of “me” and “us”.

Through creative activities and making, participants will have the chance to reflect on their own identity while also thinking about what connects us as a community.

A friendly, relaxed session for self-expression, shared creativity, and discovering how our individual stories come together. No experience needed — just come as you are 💛

You’ll create a vision board for your own future, exploring your hopes, ideas, and goals. You’ll also be invited to add to a larger shared vision board, imagining future community ventures for Newbridge and the Memo.

A relaxed, creative space to reflect, dream, and shape ideas together. No experience needed — just come along, grab a cuppa and a free cake and get stuck in 💛

Saturday Non-bookable Session Workshop:

Join us for a welcoming creative writing session as part of Stories of Us, exploring connection, community, and a sense of belonging.

Through gentle prompts and shared activities, we’ll look at how our stories connect — to each other, to our communities, and to the traditions that shape us. Everyone has a story to tell, and this workshop is about finding your voice and celebrating those shared threads.

A relaxed space to write, reflect, and connect with others. No writing experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to share 💛

Saturday Booking Essential Workshop:

🌍 Stories of Us: Identity in a Global World 🌍 1.00pm-2.30pm (Function Room)

⚠️ Limited spaces – advance booking required

As part of Stories of Us, join us for an interactive workshop exploring identity in today’s global world.

We’ll ask questions like: Where do I fit into society? What roles do I have in my life — and how do they change? What does it mean to be a global citizen?

Through identity mapping, journalling, interactive quizzes, and creative activities, we’ll explore how identity is shaped, how to challenge stereotypes, and use guided visualisation to map out future possibilities.

A reflective, engaging session with space to think, share, and imagine what comes next — for yourself and within a wider community. ✨
